Adam Walkom – Founder & Wealth Partner
I founded Permanent Wealth Partners in 2020 because I knew I wanted to do things a little differently. Having worked as a financial adviser at another larger firm and having built up a wonderful set of clients within that firm, I felt the need to set up a business that looks after clients the way they should be looked after. Carefully, patiently, personally.
Financial planning should be all about getting to know the person. It’s understanding their goals, fears, needs and wants. A lot of people have never actually discussed these topics with anyone before apart from the closest of loved ones. We truly are in a privileged position. However, with this privilege comes responsibility. The responsibility to use this information to create a life and financial plan for each individual, that covers all their said goals, fears, needs and wants and allows them to live their life to the full, knowing they have a trusted WealthPartner on their side.
We run a very straight-forwards business. We don’t sell anything. We are simply permanent wealth partners in all that our name implies.
When not working I’m at home with my wife and young family of 3 children. When I’m not with them you’ll probably find me on my bike, cycling through Surrey or sometimes, when I’m lucky, France or Italy.
Adrian Johnson – Partner
I have spent my working life advising companies and businesses about their finances; including start-ups, family businesses and financial institutions. I joined Permanent Wealth Partners to draw on that experience and help clients plan, manage and build their own wealth. My job involves listening carefully to people’s stories, hearing about their dreams for the future and helping to turn those aspirations into action plans. We support people through the inevitable difficult times to stay the course to financial success. We help to debunk the complicated and guide clients with simple, pragmatic advice that is tailored to their needs as an individual or a family.

I started in the financial services at the cusp of the millennium, initially advising on a large range of products as an independent financial adviser and gradually concentrating on residential and investment property funding. My accumulated knowledge and experience, have enabled me to deal with any enquiries – from straightforward ‘vanilla’ cases to more complex and challenging enquiries and offer bespoke solutions where clients have been failed by other sources.
At the heart of what I do is a simple philosophy – treat my clients as my family and always offer the best advice as I would do to a family member.
House purchasing is not always simple and can be quite stressful at the times, but my team and I would always try to mitigate the pressure, take away the complexity and streamline the completion. From simple house purchase or portfolio refinance, there is nothing we cannot consider. With my colleagues we can also cater for your short-term finance needs, development loans and commercial enquiries where we have built un unrivalled reputation and envious connections.
Heading one of the teams at SPF, I enjoy mentoring and coaching the new generations of advisors. In my spare time, I am the designated driver for my son who is a keen table tennis player and a future champion (watch this space). I enjoy walking, travelling and cooking for my family – always trying to perfect those recipes or discovering new tastes.
